Rihand Dam is built on Rihand river. This old dam was constructed during the reign of first Prime Minister - Pt. Jawahar Lala Nehru. This dam is very beautiful and have amazing sightseeing. Earlier the dam was seen via "view hill" which is closed now.
During the monsoon season, the water level rises and number of gates gets opened. That's why, the dam is best seen during rainy season. There is bridge on the Rihand river which also gives a clear view of the dam to the bridge passers. People of Renukoot loves to have picnics around this dam.

Chilka Jheel is in Shaktinagar and is around 66 Kilometres from Renukoot. This place is named after famous Andhra Pradesh Chilka lake. It is known as one of the best picnic spots of the whole Sonebhdara district. Most of the school picnic trips are organized here only.
